Known by most locals as simply “The Arms”, this pub features a lively outdoor patio in the summer and warm, friendly atmosphere inside in the cooler months.
Owners and brothers Tom and Paul Vasilovsky have been in the restaurant business most of their lives, and are proud of the tradition they have built on Main Street. Opening in September of 1989, the Unionville Arms thrived for many years until a tragic fire took the building in November of 2007. A lot of hard work and love went into rebuilding the restaurant, and it remains a local favourite today.

“We absolutely love welcoming our friends and neighbours here at the Arms,” said Tom Vasilovksy. “People come here because they know they will find always find a friend and some great food and drinks.” Famous for their wings, the Arms also offers delicious burgers, wraps, pastas and daily pub specials.
While COVID put a damper in their indoor dining for most of 2020, the restaurant thrived outdoors on their expanded patio. With the City of Markham’s new regulations, the Arms was able to expand out on to the sidewalk and welcome many more customers, helping them get through this pandemic. “Even with the pandemic, our patio was full most of the summer,” said Tom. “We truly appreciated everyone’s support, love and friendship.”
As we look ahead to a recovery period, the brothers and their families who work at the Arms, would love to have you stop by for a bite and a drink. In the meantime takeout, curbside pickup and delivery are all available, 7 days a week.
