What do you get when you mix a passion for chocolate with a lifelong friendship and a desire to succeed in business? Old Firehall Confectionery!
Natasha Usher and Kim Murphy are the amazing business women behind Old Firehall Confectionery, Unionville’s “go-to” spot for all things chocolate, sweets and ice cream. “We truly love what we do, and it shows in our products. We use only top-quality ingredients and ensure they come together to create the best treats in town,” says Natasha.
In the summer months, fresh and natural ice cream from the Firehall is a favourite treat on the street, and holiday chocolates and new “hot chocolate bombs” are their best-sellers throughout the winter. Baskets and gingerbread houses also make the top-seller list, at both their Unionville store and sister store in Kleinburg.
Although COVID obviously presented some challenges for Natasha and Kim, it also presented opportunities that they have taken advantage of. Online sales since COVID hit have been booming, especially over this past holiday season. They have sincerely appreciated the “local love” from residents and look forward to welcoming everyone back inside the story once we are able to begin COVID recovery.
