Known as “THE” spot to go for Indian food in Unionville, Markham and York Region, Ambiyan has been part of Main Street Unionville since 2009.
Ambiyan offers a wide variety of Indian specialities such as Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and spicy Vindaloo sauce, as well as many vegan options. They also offered a limited Village Pub menu for those who might want something simple like a burger or chicken fingers. All of it is delicious, especially when served on their vast and scenic patio.
“Our patio is a big hit in the warmer months,” says Paul Sandhu, Owner, “Being so close to the street and the Bandstand, it’s a great spot to grab a meal and a drink, watch the action go by, and take in the music and performances at the Bandstand.”
Like other restaurants, COVID proved to be a difficult time for the restaurant but was made much easier with the support of locals and regulars. “We truly want to thank this Community for sticking by us during the Pandemic, ordering delivery and picking up meals. It really helped get us through the tough times.”
Ambiyan will be expanding their patio this summer to welcome even more customers. As the temperatures rise be sure to stop by, have a delicious meal and say hi to Paul and his awesome team.
